The first chapter of "The Namesake" was interesting, yet a little difficult to read. It looked like they were going back and forth between present memories and past memories. Since it was the first chapter I wasn't sure which was which. Like when the mother was giving birth to her child, then it goes and talks about (it think) her husband and his past. The parts that were interesting is when the husband (I think it was him that was talking at the time) is when he said he has lived three lives at or until the age of 30.
